NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Johnston County Board of Commissioners will conduct Rezoning Petition and Special Use Permit Application Public Hearings for the following cases on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the 6:00 p.m. Commissioners Meeting in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Johnston County Courthouse, 207 E. Johnston Street, Smithfield, North Carolina. After each rezoning case is heard, the rezoning public hearing, which is a legislative hearing, will be recessed and the Board will render a decision. In the case of special use district rezonings, the special use hearing will be heard before reopening the hearing for the next case. The special use hearing is a quasi-judicial hearing where the Board is sitting as judges and will hear factual evidence as testimony. CASE 18-23: Rezoning Petition: Petition to rezone 2.63 acres located at 10920 Cleveland Rd. in the Cleveland Township from General Business - Special Use District (GB-SUD) to General Business (GB).
