United Community Bank, which has a number of branches in Johnston County, has shifted to drive-through and appointment-only service because of the coronavirus.

The bank asks customers to call their local branch to schedule an appointment for such services as loan closings, access to safe deposit boxes and wire transfers.

Also, the bank encourages customers to use its digital options, which are available at and through the United Mobile App.

The bank said it had increased mobile deposit limits and temporarily removed the fee for using a non-UCB card at an ATM.
