SMITHFIELD — Johnston Family Dentistry, 606 Buffalo Road, will hold its second annual free community dental service day from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, May 17. Services provided will include free extractions, cleanings and fillings.

Patients are treated on first-come, first-served basis and must be 18 or older to participate. For more information, call 919-989-8805.

Litter sweep planned Saturday

SMITHFIELD — The town of Smithfield will have a litter sweep beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Smithfield Community Park, 600 E. Booker Dairy Road, Bob Wallace Jaycee Kiddie Park, 350 S. Front St., Smith-Collins Park, 909 E. Lee St. and Gertrude B. Johnson Park, 1222 W. Market St. All necessary cleanup supplies will be provided.

Church schedules special service

KENLY — Kenly Praise Tabernacle, 306 E. Second St., will have a 50-plus men in bright colors service at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2 with the Rev. Andy Mils of Zebulon as guest speaker.
