Here’s a sampling of what Johnston County eateries are doing now that Gov. Roy Cooper has closed restaurants to dine-in customers.

Manning’s Restaurant

This Clayton restaurant, located on Main Street in the heart of downtown, is offering pickup and delivery. Diners can order their favorite meals, including beer and wine, the restaurant said in a Facebook post last week.

For a pickup order, call 919-585-7005 or go to manningsonmain.com. For delivery within five miles of the restaurant, call 919-585-7005.

Heidi’s Two Wheel Cafe

This West Smithfield eatery, known for its made-to-order menu, is offering takeout. “We have all hands on deck to provide carryout and reasonable delivery service to the Smithfield,” owner Heidi Rittenhouse said in a Facebook post. The number to call is 919-989-8389.

The Redneck BBQ Lab

The restaurant, near the intersection of N.C. 210 and Interstate 40, had this to say in a Facebook post this morning:

• We recommend ordering with us online at theredneckbbqlab.com, and you can pick up at the window.

• You can always give us a call at 919-938-8334 to place an order for pickup.

• You can come to the Lab and order. We are offering a “car hop” service. Please park in front of the Lab, put your hazards on, someone will come out to your car, place your order, and we will return to you with your food.

Venero’s Pizzeria & Catering

Here’s something different: The brick-and-mortar pizzeria is parking its food truck at the pool in Clayton’s Glen Laurel community and in the Portofino neighborhood. To place an order for pickup or delivery, call 919-879-9829, 919-369-7722 or 919-369-7721.

Deep River Brewing Co.

This is different too. On March 18, the brewery opened two drive-through lanes, one for beer and one for food.

“Pull in and follow the signs,” Deep River said in a Facebook post. “Please have ID and your credit card ready for beer. Please avoid using cash unless its for tips.”

“If you are here for the food truck only, pull up to the designated ordering area,” the brewery said. “The food truck will come to your car to get your order. You will then proceed to designated parking, and they will bring the food to you.”

The brewery asked for patience as it worked through the logistics.

Simple Twist

The restaurant, on Market Street in downtown Smithfield, is offering pickup and delivery.

“Our wait staff will be delivering to your car or your porch, and they will keep all tips they receive from these deliveries and takeouts,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Simple Twist said it would deliver within a 10-mile radius of the restaurant. Deliveries carry a $5 fee and a minimum order of $25. The number to call is 919-938-0377.

The Diner

This popular Smithfield eatery, also on Market Street, is offering takeout from 6:30 a.m. to noon, but it’s doing breakfast only, the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. For more information, call 919-934-6644.

Sami’s Pizza and Pasta

The newest eatery on Smithfield’s Market Street is offering takeout, curbside pickup and free delivery for orders of $15 or more. For deliveries, call no later than one hour before closing time. The number to call is 919-300-1243.

Holt Lake Bar-B-Que & Seafood

This Smithfield mainstay, on U.S. 301 south of town, is offering drive-through and call-in orders. To place an order, call 919-934-0148 or 919-934-5564.
