SMITHFIELD — Police are still searching for a man wanted in Thursday night’s robbery at an AT&T store at 1247 North Brightleaf Blvd. around 7:20 p.m.
Authorities identified the suspect as 22-year-old Brian Lamonte Clark.
Smithfield Police Capt. Ryan Sheppard said Clark was armed with a handgun and demanded celluar devices as he ordered employees into an office at the back of the store.
When Clark received the celluar devices, he ran away, Sheppard said. There were no customers in the store when the robbery occurred.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has also secured warrant on a felony charge of fleeing to elude arrest.
