KENLY — Plans are in place for the seventh annual Kenly 95 Petro East Coast Truckers Jamboree and Truck Show scheduled Thursday, May 9 through Saturday, May 11 at the truck stop off Interstate 95’s Exit 106.

“The jamboree is an Iowa 80 concept wherein we take time to thank our customers from all segments of the spectrum including truckers, tourists and locals for their business,” said Kenly 95 Petro general manager Ernie Brame. “We greatly appreciate the public support we get for this event.”

Among the attractions planned are free live concerts, fireworks, a big-rig show, muscle car show, professional wrestling, a race simulator and a big top circus-style tent with more than 35 vendors and displays and food court specials.

Concerts will be held beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday with a performance by the Part-Time Party-Time Band.

At 6 p.m. Friday, Eagles tribute band On The Border is slated to perform. A fireworks show will follow the concert around 9 p.m.

Saturday is community day and features a variety of events including a motorcycle show, truck show, an East Coast Muscle Cars show and swap meet, mechanical bull rides and kids’ activities including inflatable bounce houses, sidewalk sales, drawings and raffles.

“This event continues to grow beyond our expectations and we expect this year to be even better,” said Brame. “We are expecting a big crowd and invite everyone to again please come out and help us celebrate.”
