With temperatures in the high 60s to mid-70s, the remainder of the workweek will feel like an early spring. But a cold front arriving on Friday will bring a chilly weekend, Albert Thomas Jr. explains in this week's installment of The Wilson Times Weathercast brought to you by

Daytime highs Tuesday should reach the 72-74 range, with the week's spate of sunshine peaking on Thursday, when highs in the mid-70s are expected. Overnight lows should be mild, ranging from the upper 40s Tuesday night to 60 degrees Thursday.

The region's average daytime high for this time of year is 53 and the average low is 32. Friday's cold front will put the greater Wilson area below that average, with a high in the upper 40s on Saturday and low temperatures beneath the freezing mark.

Albert Thomas Jr., a Wilson attorney and retired judge, will weigh in on Wilson's weather conditions each Tuesday and Saturday. Thomas is a forecast aficionado who recalls Wilson community weatherman Joe Overman's broadcasts on WVOT radio.
